What’s a Rich Text element?

The rich text element allows you to create and format headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, images, and video all in one place instead of having to add and format them individually. Just double-click and easily create content.

Static and dynamic content editing

A rich text element can be used with static or dynamic content. For static content, just drop it into any page and begin editing. For dynamic content, add a rich text field to any collection and then connect a rich text element to that field in the settings panel. Voila!

How to customize formatting for each rich text

Headings, paragraphs, blockquotes, figures, images, and figure captions can all be styled after a class is added to the rich text element using the "When inside of" nested selector system.

Common Problems with the Gree Mini Split Air Conditioner

#1 Air Conditioner is Blowing Warm Air

The air conditioner is responsible for cooling the room, but when it fails to deliver cooled air indoors despite being put on a cooling mode, then there may be an underlying issue with your Gree air conditioner. Check first if your AC is in heat mode or if the heating system is on.

The dirty air filter may be restricting airflow through your unit, causing the cold air to get trapped inside. A refrigerant leak may also cause your air conditioner to blow warm air instead of cold air, or your unit may be too small or weak for the size of your room, causing it to cool inadequately.

#2 Indoor Unit is Making Noise/Outdoor Unit is Making Noise

Air conditioners would normally have a low, quiet, whirring noise due to the motors running inside the unit, but any loud sound coming from your air conditioner can be a cause for alarm. Buzzing sounds may mean an issue with your compressor while clunking noise indicates a fault in the fan blades or fan motor.

#3 Indoor and Outdoor Units are Short Cycling

If your air conditioner is short-cycling, it may mean your air filter is dirty, causing poor airflow to circulate around the unit. It may also mean your air conditioner is experiencing a faulty high-pressure switch, and the unit is short cycling to prevent overheating and overloading the unit.

#4 Air Conditioner is Emitting Smells

Due to their filters, air conditioners should not be emitting any smells or odor unless there is a problem with the unit. It is important to know what smell is emitting out of your unit to know if the smell is a cause for alarm, or if it simply means your unit needs cleaning.

  • Smoke or burning smell - The air conditioner is overheating
  • Sweet, chloroform smell - Refrigerant is leaking
  • Musty smell - Mold growth
  • Foot smell - Bacteria buildup
  • Rotten egg smell - A gas leak or decaying critter

#5 The Air Conditioner is Leaking Water

A frozen AC put on defrost mode will most likely leak water as it melts away the ice buildup around the evaporator coil and air filter. You may also have a clogged drain line or overflowing drain pan, which will also cause water to leak out of your HVAC system. It is a good idea to check these components one by one to find the root cause of the problem.

How to Reset Your Gree Air Conditioner

Reset Point: Reset Button

To reset your Gree air conditioner, locate the reset button which can typically be found on the remote control. The reset button should be a small pinhole with a button inside, and you will need a toothpick, the pointed end of a pen, or a cellphone pin to press. Press and hold the button for 3 to 5 seconds to reset your AC unit.

Gree Mini Split Troubleshooting Guide

#1 Check the Error Codes

More often than not, your Gree AC unit would show an error code when there's a problem with your unit. The error code may be displayed on the control panel, or the indoor display screen of your mini split air conditioner depending on the model, and this error code will notify you of the problem with your unit so you can better troubleshoot it.

Always check what the error code means before attempting to repair your air conditioner. The issue might be as simple as dirty coils or air filters, or as complicated as issues with wiring and electrical connections.

#2 Keep Your AC Unit Clean

Keeping your AC unit clean is one of the best ways to prevent damages and malfunctions in your Gree mini split AC. A dirty air filter can be the root cause of multiple issues with your air conditioner, such as AC sounds, smells, and even an air conditioner freezing up or not cooling properly. Clean the air filter at least once every two weeks.

#3 Check Your Gree Mini Split Owner's Manual

Your owner's manual should be able to guide you through common problems with your Gree mini split air conditioner, and it should include a list of error codes that you can refer to to determine the issue with your unit. Follow the troubleshooting guide about the problem with your AC unit, and see if the issue resolves itself.

#4 Contact a Professional

If the issue is with the internal components of the air conditioner, or the electrical components such as line voltage, low supply voltage, or DC bus bar, contact a specialist immediately to repair your unit.

HVAC technicians will be able to diagnose, repair, and fix any problems with your Gree AC unit. Contacting the professionals for cleaning, maintenance, and repairs will keep your Gree air conditioner durable so you can enjoy the cool air longer! Visit our website to learn more.
